Fajitas are one of the most popular things to cook and eat in our household. So I thought I’d share with you how to make fajitas, the way i do.
A simple easy, quick meal.
INGREDIENTS AND EQUIPMENT
Fresh chicken fillets
Oriental spicy Chinese stir fry packet
Fresh pepper of your choice, green pepper
Sharp knife x 2
Add a very small amount of cooking oil into the wok, add the chicken, and place over the hob.
I put on the timer 20 minutes.
Every so often during this time I keep checking the chicken and turning it over.
While waiting for the chicken to cook, I cut up the pepper into tiny slices.
I also cut the chicken up during it cooking in the wok into small pieces.
I find it easier to cut than doing it before. (you can buy chicken already diced)
Once 20 minutes has past and the chicken is cooked, no pink bits, and slight golden colour to them, I add the sliced peppers.
I then put in the oriental stir fry mix of vegetables and cook for a further 5 minutes.
I put a fajita wrap in the microwave for 10 seconds, and then add some of the chicken stir fry filling.
Not too much or won’t be able to fold the wrap up without it breaking or everything falling out.
Then add a bit of salsa of your choice to it.
To wrap it up, fold the bottom half of the circle up, and then the left side, followed by the right, like wrapping a present.
Eat and enjoy!
There are alternatives to making your ideal fajita, could even make your own wraps. But this is how i like mine, a easy, simple way, and delicious.
